we had a beautiful morning here this morning - the sun was shining, the air was warm & the ground was firm
today, like every day of calving season, started with a first light walk around both of our North & South calving pastures - in total we found 7 new calves born through the night, all 7 were up on their feet getting a good feed of colostrum from attentive cows
under good weather conditions calving happens very naturally, which is ideal for the way that we are set up. survival rate of calving season is extremely high, but the work is constant & can get intense during cool/wet weather
as usual, if you have any questions about our farm or beef production in general, contact us through the "Contact Us" page of this website, or email us at: grandview.manitoulin@gmail.com
