No matter how well the cattle are fed throughout the winter, going to grass is ALWAYS one of the best days of the year!
Today we were sorting and moving cows with their new calves, which can be challenging/tiring work, but is extremely rewarding. Cattle will now be out on pasture grazing grasses until our big round up in November. Cattle on grass stay healthy, clean and content, meeting all of their needs as they hit peak lactation raising calves.
Its an awesome site, seeing the ranches around Manitoulin full of cattle throughout the summer - hopefully you get a chance to enjoy the view as the cattle are enjoying their lunch.
